A video-game tester is someone who tests video-games before the final version of the game is released to the public. They are also known as beta game testers. Video-game testers receive a version of a game that is almost to its final stage. Then, they must play the game a number of times, from start to finish, in order to uncover glitches in the video-game.

Video-game testers are responsible for finding and reporting bugs in the game. They need to have keen observational abilities and good logical reasoning abilities. Experienced video game testers work with programmers and designers, to make sure critical bugs in games are fixed before the final version  is created.

Experienced video game tester salaries are around $18,000 to $55,000 annually and between $8 and $14 per hour. [3]
