Water treatment is an industrial-scale processes that filters water through different types of machines. 

Every day we have to drink water. Clean water keeps us healthy. If we don't have water treatment, our health would be affected because we need clean water to survive. For example, discolored water, brown water, blue water, and water with black particles all requires our attention for further investigation. 

Water treatment jobs are normally from the government department of water treatment. A Water Treatment Operator is one of job in the water treatment process. Its compensation is around $36,367.00 - $56,566.00 annually or 12.84 per hour.  The position is involved in the operation, maintenance and repair activities of domestic water treatment systems and drainage pumping facilities. 

To get this job, you need to know how to assure that water is conserved and properly distributed.  The certificate of completion from a two-year mechanical-electrical technology program is normally required along with the followings certification if the position is in Texas [1]:

Other states may require similar certifications. 
  1. For Wastewater Operations: A Class C (or higher) Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license from the TCEQ is required. There are 60 hours of training with $111 application fee. 
  2. For Water Purification: A Class C (or higher) Surface Water Operators License from the TCEQ is required. There are 60 hours of training with $111 application fee as well. 
  3. For Water Pumping:  A Class C (or higher) Surface Water OR Water Distribution Operators License from the TCEQ is required.
